Who is ReUsin By Susan?

I’ve always been a creative person. I come by it naturally. My mother had a ceramic shop when I was growing up. I had a paintbrush in my hand before I could walk! My father had a gift for woodcarving and whittling.  I started making jewelry in high school as a hobby. Years later I started selling my jewelry. I was making traditional beaded jewelry with some success but a magazine article in a bead magazine in 2009 changed my life. In that article, I saw a necklace a woman had made from all the credit cards she had paid off and an idea was born. What if I used recyclable items to make jewelry? I started with credit cards and eventually expanded to can tabs, guitar picks, maps, and more. Now nothing is off limits! I look at everything as a possibility. I often say that I have more ideas than time different. I now sell online and in person at local markets and craft shows in the Tampa Bay area. 
I also do costume jewelry repairs, such as bead re-stringing, new clasps, and even redesigning an old piece into something completely different.
